From May 26 to 27, 2025, the 2nd Education Working Group Meeting (EdWG) of G20 was held in North West Province, South Africa. At the invitation of the South African Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET), Wu Lin, Co-dean of the Confucius Institute at Durban University of Technology (DUT), led a delegation of faculty and student representatives to participate in the Meeting. Centering on key topics including mutual recognition of qualifications in a global context, vocational qualification transfer, and quality assurance in cross-border education, the delegation engaged in in-depth discussions with global education experts. Drawing on the Institute’s expertise in integrating language education with vocational training, the delegation proposed a “Language + Skills” dual-certification model, offering a solution for building an inclusive international education qualification framework.
