The College of Rural Revitalization was established on 12 September 2022. It has two full-time undergraduate majors (Rural and Regional Development; Rural Governance), one Yan Jiaxian Experimental Class (Rural Revitalization), an interdisciplinary doctoral program (Rural Revitalization), and an agricultural master's program (in the field of rural development). It offers a high-end continuing education and training platform for party and government, enterprises, and rural revitalization talents. There are multiple part-time educational majors for degree advancement, including agriculture, horticulture, tea studies, veterinary medicine, and rural and regional development. Additionally there are self-study examination majors, for instance in accounting, finance, law, and engineering management. We recruit members of the Taiwan Agricultural Industry Association with continuing education qualifications for undergraduate and diploma studies. The college has 48 faculty members, including 21 full-time teachers (10 with senior titles) who have long been engaged in teaching and research pertaining to rural and regional development.
In recent years, the college has won several prestigious prizes: second prize for national teaching achievements; second prize as well as a special prize for provincial teaching achievements; and second prize for the Science and Technology Award of the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region. One research result has received positive comments by the central government leadership; and a case study has been awarded the global “Best Case of Poverty Alleviation”. Two projects were listed as model projects for targeted poverty alleviation of Provincial universities under the Ministry of Education. Fujian Ningxia Poverty Alleviation Cooperation Assistance Group awarded the title of Model of the Times, this issued by the Central Propaganda Department. One college member received the National Innovation Excellence Award, and one was hailed as Esteemed Teacher of a Renowned Course for serving rural revitalization in the National Agricultural Vocational College. A teacher made the list of high contribution scholars in Chinese agronomy; and two teachers were awarded the honorary title of Most Beautiful Science and Technology Specialist” in Fujian Province. The college has, moreover, undertaken the national “Lead Goose” major training program.
The college has six national platforms and bases, including New Rural Development Research Institute, Modern Agricultural Technology Training Base, National Science and Technology Specialist Entrepreneurship Training Base, National New Vocational Farmer Cultivation Demonstration Base, National Professional and Technical Personnel Continuing Education Base, and Taiwan Farmers' Entrepreneurship Park Science and Technology Service Center.
